About CPC Program Governance
Strategic Learning Alliance:
The SLA Board of Advisors acts to oversee the day-to-day operations of approved
SLA certifications. The Board of Governors works with the SLA Credentials,
Research & Standards committee to ensure that the subject matter content, exams,
and performance expectations of both learning providers and certification
candidates are adequately maintained. These boards provide policy for credentialing
requirements for the Board of Advisors.
Each certification's board of advisors
is responsible for the professional merit, promotion, and approval of learning
providers at the policy level for their specific certification.
The CPC Board of Advisors include:
-
Barbara Wainwright, CMC, SME
-
Guillermo Frixione, CMC, SME
-
Sandra Macis, CMC, SME
-
Each SLA Board
of Advisor team is supported by interested professionals and experts who participate
in monthly volunteer meetings to help implement the policies of the Board of Advisors.
These committees are known as Steering Committees.
The CPC Steering Committee meets quarterly on the second Sunday of each
quarter starting in Jan. This committee is made up of volunteer participants
invited by SLA or their affiliates to help establish the testing components,
validity, and credibility of the CPC certification™.
